New version at the end of the week
4. Mrz 2014
Mixing Station

It’s been quite a while since the last update but I’m happy to announce that I’m nearly finished with rewriting the app. It also already contains some new features and a lot of bug fixes.

It’s now even possible to restrict the access to some functions. This will help customize the app for fixed instalations.

Also the layer logic is completely new:

It’s possible to add, rename, reorder and remove any layer. When you save a layer the complete collection will be saved in one file. Also all layer remain visible in sends on fader mode. Only the channels that are not usable for the particular mix will be invisible.

I also changed the style of the meter bars cause they are more accurate and I want to include a peak hold function later.

The peq knobs in the channel overview are now removed. In the final version they will be replaced with a small peq graph.

One disadvantage of the new version is a higher memory consumption. But it should still work on devices with less ram.

So that’s it for now.

Hope you will like the new version

Thanks for all the hard work! Keep it up! I did have one question though on the latest, I don’t see the custom channel anymore. Is this feature going to be coming back?

You can now edit every layer by press and hold the button.
Also you can add or remove layers: (Menu Key) -> Setup -> Layer

And this won’t affect the layer on the board?

        • davidgiga1993

No they can’t be changed 🙂

Very dissapointed in the new layout the scribble strips and layer tabs are fartoo small..!……….why change something that works so well.not happy jan!

      Hi,
As I mentioned in the changelog: the new layout is not yet complete. The layer tabs are much smaller now to make some space for additional channels (you can have up to 16ch per layer).
      You can also add/remove/rename layers.
But some people want larger buttons so I will change that.

How do i reinstall the last version?

you dont have like the x32-Q app for the musicians?

    • davidgiga1993

Mixing station can be used for musicans. Just select the mix you want to access and click connect

  • Michael Murphy

I am finding that the 16ch layer feature refuses to work, why would this be ?when I tick the boxes and go back nothing changes

    • davidgiga1993

Did you change the visible channels to 16? (Menu->setup->layer)

  • Michael Murphy

will mixing station work ok now with the new v2 firmware update?

  • Dan Haynes

Once I create a custom layer, how do I save and recall it so I don’t have to recreate it every time I launch Mixing Station?

    • davidgiga1993

When in the main view press menu -> setup -> layer. In the menu are now 2 items: load and save. This will save / load all layers and their order into one file. If you name the file ‚default‘ it will be loaded on startup of mixing station

        Thanks.
